Midweek Chart: 4th August 2021

 Twice a week, Tad's LGBT Music Chart brings you the Top 50 music videos by LGBTQ artists from around the world.

Midweek Chart for 4th August, 2021



Chart notes:
   American artist John Duff is wearing his "High Heels" at the #1 spot on the LGBT chart this week. The track, which features vocals from Broadway icon Lillias White, is from his highly-anticipated EP Homo·Sapien. The proceeds from sales of the EP will benefit The Future Perfect Project, which describes its mission as "making safe spaces for LGBTQ+ youth and allies to express themselves through the arts, connect with one another, and amplify their voices". Over the past three days, the video for "High Heels" has gained an additional 7,743 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 4.96% over the previous chart).

   Five videos move up into the Top 10. Swedish singer Brother Leo moves ahead 7 notches to #4 with "Strangers on an Island". American vocalist LP (originally from Long Island, New York) leaps ahead 15 places to #7 with "Goodbye". Italian singer Osvaldo Supino climbs 9 spots to #8 with "Lights Down Low". American singer/songwriter Kelechi (from Atlanta, Georgia) moves up from #18 to #9 with "Dance in the Mirror". And finally, South Korean rapper/singer Aquinas gains 4 more places to land at #10 with "It Doesn't Matter".

   Eleven songs fall off the chart to make way for eleven new songs. The highest debut was "Fais-Le" by Belgian-born French singer Jérémy Frerot, entering the chart at #35. Jérémy previously hit #1 on the LGBT chart with "Un Homme", spending two weeks at the top spot in February 2021. Over the past half-week, the video for "Fais-Le" has gained an additional 27,407 YouTube views (which is an increase of 14.96% over the chart prior).

   Further down the chart, we have 10 more debuts by LGBT artists from Mexico, the U.S.A., Norway, Turkey, the Netherlands, Spain, and Colombia:

  • Ricky Merino (from Spain)
  • Mabiland (from Colombia)
