Chart notes:
There are a lot of big moves in the LGBT chart this week, except for the top spot. Conchita Wurst holds onto the #1 position for a second consecutive week with "Hit Me".

The remainder of the Top Five are: American musician Greyson Chance (moving up 5 places to #2), Ukrainian singer Maruv (climbing 11 spots to #3), New Zealand band Openside (slipping 2 notches to #4), and English singer Will Young (rising 7 spots to #5).

Eight songs fell off the chart this week to make way for eight new songs. The highest debut of the week was "Open Up" by Matt Simons, coming in at #37. The Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter last appeared on my chart in March, with the video for "Amy's Song". Having grown up in a household with two parents who sang opera, Matt went on to study music himself and obtained a degree in Jazz Saxophone Performance. He plays four instruments: the saxophone, the piano, the guitar, and the clarinet.

Chart positions are based on points assigned from: (1) the previous week's position, (2) length of time on the chart, (3) my votes, (4) views on YouTube and the percentage of increase in views from one week to the next, and (5) any votes I've received by Thursday morning. If you'd like to vote for your favorite songs, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info above).
