Chart notes:
New Zealand quartet Openside have taken over the #1 spot on the LGBT chart this weekend, moving up three notches from last week. In their last appearance on this chart, they peaked at #2 (in January, with "Character Flaws"). Over the past week, the video for "Waiting for Love" gained an additional 16,107 views on YouTube (an increase of 12.10% from the previous week) and those extra points helped to push them up to #1.

The remainder of the Top Five this week are: American musician Greyson Chance (holding steady for a 2nd week at #2), Dutch singer Duncan Laurence (rebounding 3 places to #3), English singer Will Young (moving up a notch to #4), and Ukrainian singer Maruv (slipping 2 spots to #5).

Fourteen songs fell off the chart this week to make way for 14 new songs. The highest debut of the week was "Me!" by Taylor Swift and Brendon Urie, coming in at #24. The campy video is filled with gay imagery, including rainbows and unicorns. Brendon, who's best known as the lead singer of Panic! At The Disco, came out as pansexual in 2018.

Chart positions are based on points assigned from: (1) the previous week's position, (2) length of time on the chart, (3) views on YouTube for the past 7 days, (4) percentage of increase in views from the week prior, (5) my votes, and (6) any votes I've received by Thursday morning. If you'd like to vote for your favorite songs, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info above).
