 Hello everyone! I've fallen a bit behind on my charts because I just started a new full-time job. I will catch up soon, but in the meantime I have posted the playlist from the midweek chart that should've been published a few days ago. There are 12 new videos in the playlist.

Chart Week 34 of 2022: 21 August

     Twice a week, Tad's LGBT Music Chart brings you the Top 50 music videos by LGBTQ artists from around the world.     

Chart Week #34 of 2022: Week of 21st August

Chart notes:
   American rock band Panic! At The Disco (from Las Vegas, Nevada) reaches the #1 spot on the LGBT chart this weekend with "Middle Of a Breakup", moving up one more place from the midweek's #2 position. In the lyrics, lead singer Brendon Urie is trying (and failing) to end a tumultuous relationship. The one thing that keeps bringing the couple back together is the "makeup sex" after their quarrels, and he describes his partner as his "favorite drug". The clip includes some theatrical vamping inspired by the musicals Grease and Kinky Boots, along with some cheeky metaphors for sex such as a rocket ship blasting off into space and a train entering a tunnel. Over the past four days, the video for "Middle Of a Breakup" has gained an additional 127,115 views on YouTube (which is a huge increase of 7.22% since the midweek's chart!).

   Three videos move up into the Top 10 this weekend, two of which happen to be from American acts: Mamalarky (originally from Austin, Texas & now residing in Atlanta, Georgia) at #6 with "Mythical Bonds", and Demi Lovato (from Dallas, Texas) at #10 with "Substance". They're joined in the Top 10 by Swedish singer/songwriter Tove Lo, who's leaping ahead 10 notches to #8 with "2 Die 4".

   Eleven songs fall off the chart to make way for eleven new songs. The highest debut this weekend was "Transfert Trottinette" by French drag performer Bilal Hassani, entering the chart at #34. Born in Paris to Moroccan parents, Bilal started singing at the age of five and appeared as a contestant on the French edition of The Voice Kids. In 2019, he was chosen to represent France at The Eurovision Song Contest. The lyrics of his latest track are a message aimed at preventing the spread of HIV and AIDS through the use of PREP medications. Over the past half-week, the video for "Transfert Trottinette" has gained an additional 4,755 YouTube views (which is a huge increase of 6.59% over the previous chart period!).
