Chart notes:
Dutch singer/songwriter Duncan Laurence reaches the top of the LGBT chart this weekend with "Electric Life", moving up 2 more places from the midweek's #3 position. Duncan came out publicly as bisexual shortly before The 2019 Eurovision Song Contest, which he went on to win with his single "Arcade". In the lyrics of "Electric Life", Duncan explores the complexities of grief. He explained in a statement that "I sing about a warm, loving, and grateful feeling towards loved ones who have passed away. It is a positive song about the transformation of deep sorrow into a feeling of hope. Delving into your memories like that probably comes closest to a brief visit to heaven and being there with all the ones you have lost." He says he decided to give the song an up-tempo pre-chorus because "You can sing about sad things, but there has to be a little bit of sunshine poking through those big gray clouds." Over the past four days, the video for "Electric Life" has gained an additional 15,540 views on YouTube (which is a massive increase of 14.16% since the midweek's chart!).

Three videos move up into the Top 10 this weekend. South Korean boy-band OnlyOneOf climbs 9 notches to #7 with "Zuruion'na". English rapper/singer Yungblud leaps ahead 10 places to #8 with "Tissues". They're joined in the Top 10 by Canadian duo Tegan And Sara (from Calgary, Alberta), who rise 4 more spots to #10 with "Faded Like a Feeling".

Ten songs fall off the chart to make way for ten new songs. The highest debut this weekend was "Flip Phone" by American rapper/singer Brooke Candy, entering the chart at #35. Brooke (who's originally from Agoura Hills, California) says that she began her musical career after coming out to her mother as gay and subsequently being thrown out of her mother's house. Brooke explains, "I ended up being pretty homeless for a second. I was living on friends' couches... The trauma of coming out sent me into this space where I felt like I needed to adopt a new identity. Everything I had done was rejected by my mother, and that's such a hard thing for a young girl." She dealt with this traumatic situation by creating rap music, which eventually led her to a new career. Over the past half-week, the video for "Flip Phone" has gained an additional 13,486 YouTube views (which is a huge increase of 6.58% over the previous chart period!).

Further down the chart, we have 9 more debuts by LGBTQ artists from England, France, the U.S.A., Sweden, Canada, and Chile:
  • Cobrah (from Sweden)
  • Stewart Taylor (from New York, USA)
  • Dion Yorkie (originally from England & now residing in Ontario, Canada)
  • Cavetown (from England, UK)
  • Mylène Farmer (from France)
  • Kevin Vásquez (from Chile)
  • Pale Waves (from England, UK)
