Chart notes:
Greyson Chance moves up into the #1 spot this week with "Shut Up". He was recently named as the "Artist of the Month" by Billboard Pride for March 2019. Greyson reached #2 on this chart back in November 2018 with the track "Good As Gold" (and #29 for the year on my 2018 Year-End chart), but this is the first time he's been at #1 here. Greyson came out publicly as gay in 2017 via an Instagram post.

Troye Sivan's "Lucky Strike" received the most votes this week, which helps push the video back up to #2. (The song was already at #1 three weeks ago.) Only time will tell if Troye can manage to reclaim the top spot on the chart. The remainder of the Top Five this week are: Courtney Act (back up 2 spots to #3), Sam Smith & Normani (rebounding 6 notches to land at #4), and N.E.F.O.R.M.A.T (falling 4 places to #5).

Seven songs fell off the chart this week to make way for seven new songs. The highest debut of the week was "The Promise" by Superfruit, coming in at #23. Olympic medalist Adam Rippon joins the pop duo for the music video with some expertly choreographed figure skating moves. The song is a cover of the 1988 hit by When In Rome.

Another notable new entry is "Arcade" by Duncan Laurence, which debuts at #24 this week. Duncan (whose real name is Duncan de Moor) has been chosen to represent the Netherlands at this year's Eurovision in Tel Aviv, and the song's now considered a favorite to win the contest. Like fellow Dutch artist Not.Your.Regular.Boy. (who's at #17 this week), Duncan was also a contestant on the television competition The Voice of Holland. (Both singers appeared on the fifth season of the show, which aired five years ago.) Duncan came out as bisexual in 2017,

Chart positions are based on points assigned from (1) the previous week's position, (2) length of time on the chart, (3) my votes, (4) views on YouTube and the percentage of increase in views from one week to the next, and (5) any votes I've received by Thursday morning. If you'd like to vote for your favorite songs, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info above).
