Every week, Tad's LGBT Music Chart brings you the Top 50 music videos by LGBT artists from around the world.

Chart Week #22 of 2021: Week of 30th May

Chart notes:
Ukrainian singer Max Barskih jumps into the #1 slot on the LGBT chart this week with "Bestseller", a collaboration with Russian singer Yulia Zivert. According to an official press release, it took them more than a year to produce this duet: about six months to craft the song, and then another six months for the video (which was filmed in the desert just outside of Dubai). Over the past seven days, the video for "Bestseller" has gained an additional 1,110,653 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 4.93% over the previous week).

Four videos move up into the Top 10 this week. English vocalist Charli XCX and transgender German singer Kim Petras move ahead 10 notches to #6 with "Unlock It". American musician Tiger Goods (from Cincinnati, Ohio) also climbs 10 spots to stay right behind them with "Just You" at #7. Brazilian singer Jão moves up 4 spots to #8 with "Amor Pirata". And finally, German singer Daniel Schuhmacher is serving "The Tea" at #10, up 12 places from last week.

Nine songs fall off the chart this week to make way for nine new songs. The highest debut of the week was "Ama Sofre Chora" by Brazilian drag queen Pabllo Vittar, entering the chart at #34. During the Covid-19 lockdown, Pabllo immersed herself in traditional Brazilian music and has incorporated more of those rhythms into her latest ballad. Over the past week, the video for "Ama Sofre Chora" has gained an additional 2,465,835 YouTube views (which is an increase of 26.79% over the week prior).

Further down the chart, we have 8 more debuts from the USA, the Netherlands, England, Spain, and Chile:
  • Willow Smith (from California, USA)
  • Dotan (from the Netherlands)
  • Pentatonix (from Texas, USA)
  • The FMs (from New York, USA)
  • Buhos (from Spain)
  • Bloxx (from England, UK)
  • Blew Velvet (from New York, USA)
  • Dani Ride (from Chile)

Chart positions are based on points assigned from (1) the previous week's chart position, (2) length of time on the chart, (3) views on YouTube from the past seven days, (4) percentage of increase in YouTube views over the week prior, (5) my votes, and (6) any votes I've received by Thursday at 12 noon (California time). If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBT artist & must be available on YouTube.
