Chart notes:
English vocalist Sam Smith and German artist Kim Petras reach the top of the LGBT chart this weekend with "Unholy", moving up one more place from the midweek's #2 position. The provocative cabaret-style video features appearances by drag queens Gottmik and Violet Chachki, as well as adult film star Paddy O'Brien. The song won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo Performance, making history as Kim Petras became the very first transgender artist to win a Grammy. According to the song's Wikipedia page, it has reached #1 on the official charts of 19 different countries as well as reaching #1 on The Billboard Global 200 chart. Over the past four days, the video for "Unholy" has gained an additional 13,996,283 views on YouTube (which is a massive increase of 10.98% since the midweek's chart!).

Four videos move up into the Top 10 this weekend. Italian glam-rock quartet Måneskin leaps ahead 12 places to #4 with "The Loneliest". American singer Michael Medrano (from Los Angeles, California) rises 9 spots to #5 with "Disco Sleaze". Transgender Dutch musician Sem Jansen climbs 10 notches to #7 with "Goodbye". They're joined in the Top Ten by Belgian/French singer Angèle, who's gaining 4 positions to reach #8 with "Amour, Haine, Et Danger".

Twelve songs fall off the chart to make way for twelve new songs. The highest debut this weekend was "Tretiy" by Russian musician/actor Sergey Lazarev, entering the chart at #32. Sergey has been an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ rights in Russia for years now, often speaking of his fondness for his LGBTQ fans and performing at LGBTQ Pride events. Fans have speculated that Sergey might be gay, especially after he revealed that his two daughters were conceived in vitro using the same egg donor and two different surrogate mothers. In English, the track's title translates to "Third". Over the past half-week, the video for "Tretiy" has gained an additional 1,189,108 YouTube views (which is a massive increase of 10.78% over the previous chart period!).

Further down the chart, we have 11 more debuts by LGBTQ artists from England, the U.S.A., Uruguay, Argentina, the Dominican Republic, South Africa, Norway, Brazil, Mexico, and Canada:
  • Chloe Moriondo (from Michigan, USA)
  • Max Tejera (originally from Uruguay & now residing in Argentina)
  • Girli (from England, UK)
  • Tokischa (from the Dominican Republic)
  • Baby Queen (originally from South Africa & now living in England)

Chart positions are based on points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist and they must be available on YouTube.
