Chart notes:
American drag queen Violet Chachki (from Atlanta, Georgia) has earned her first #1 on the LGBT chart this weekend with "Fade To Grey", moving up one more place from the midweek's #2 position. The track is a cover of the 1980 hit by British synthpop band Visage, which reached #8 on the official U.K. charts. Violet, whose real name is Paul Dardo, is best known for winning the seventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race in 2015. She appears in the video both in and out of drag. Over the past four days, the video for "Fade To Grey" has gained an additional 14,289 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 3.02% since the midweek's chart).

Four videos move up into the Top 10 this weekend, including two songs that are making a very impressive 13-place leap: "No One Dies From Love" by Swedish singer Tove Lo at #5, and "Rain In Ibiza" by German DJ Felix Jaehn and English vocalist Calum Scott at #9. American musician Yoke Lore (from Katonah, New York) climbs 10 notches to #6 with "Shock Flesh". They're joined in the Top 10 by English singer Jamie Hannah, who's rising 7 more spots to #10 with "Flowers".

Five songs fall off the chart to make way for five new songs. The highest debut this weekend was "Imagina" by Mexican brother-and-sister duo Jesse Y Joy, entering the chart at #42. Since signing with Warner Music in 2005, the duo has reached the Top 10 on the official charts of five different countries (Mexico, the U.S.A., Chile, Colombia, and Argentina) and have won multiple Grammy awards. In the beginning of 2019, Joy came out as pansexual and announced that she had been married to her wife Diana for 7 years. This track marks the first time the pair have experimented with synthesizers, and they attempted to capture more 1980s nostaglia in the video by using grainy images with rounded corners like in an old film. The clip was recorded on a sunny hot day in Los Angeles, with the 16 dancers wetting down their T-shirts to cool off during filming. Over the past half-week, the video for "Imagina" has gained an additional 179,309 YouTube views (which is an increase of 8.03% over the previous chart period).

Further down the chart, we have 4 more debuts by LGBTQ artists from the U.S.A., Norway, and India:
  • Matilda (from Norway)
  • Fancy Hagood (from Arkansas, USA)
  • Boyish (from Massachusetts, USA)
  • Raja Kumari (originally from California, USA & now residing in India)

Chart positions are determined by points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist and they must be available on YouTube.
