Chart notes:
There's no change at the very top of the LGBT chart this week, as Dutch musician Duncan Laurence holds onto the #1 spot with "Love Don't Hate It". The openly bisexual singer recently told Billboard that it's "a song about fighting for who you are and who you choose to love."
Seven songs fell off the chart this week to make way for seven new songs. The highest debut of the week was "Old Wounds" by American rock trio Pvris, entering the chart at #41. Drummer Justin Nace has just announced that he is leaving the band after six years, as they wrap up a European tour. They'll be hitting the road again this summer in the USA to tour with Halsey.
Another noteworthy new entry is "Mi Readi" by Jamaican singer Demaro., coming in at #49. Demaro describes himself as the first openly gay artist in Jamaican dancehall reggae.
Chart positions are based on points assigned from (1) the previous week's position, (2) length of time on the chart, (3) views on YouTube from the past seven days, (4) percentage of increase in YouTube views from the week prior, (5) my votes, and (6) any votes I've received by Wednesday morning. If you'd like to vote for your favorite songs, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info above).
