Chart notes:
British singer/songwriter Henry Moodie (from Guildford, England) has earned his first #1 on Tad's LGBT Music Chart this weekend with "Drunk Text", moving up two more places from the midweek's #3 position. Henry started his musical career by recording cover versions of songs by his favorite artists (including Taylor Swift and Conan Gray) and posting them on TikTok. He was signed to Columbia Records in 2022, and was named one of Amazon Music's Artists to Watch in 2023. In a press statement accompanying the release of this single, Henry wrote "'Drunk Text' is all about loving someone from afar and that torturous feeling of being in love with someone who it just wouldn't work out with, so it'll always have to be a secret. When I was writing the song, I really wanted to mirror my emotions; that excruciatingly confusing feeling of deleting the text that you are so close to sending." According to SoundCharts, the track has reached #1 on the charts of 13 different countries. It's gotten as high as #4 on The iTunes U.K. Streaming Chart and #41 on The Spotify Global Streaming Chart. Over the past half-week, the video for "Drunk Text" has gained an additional 5,286,737 views on YouTube (which is a massive increase of 21.06% since the midweek's chart!).

Four videos move up into the Top 10 this weekend. American/British rapper Ashnikko (originally from Greensboro, North Carolina & now residing in London) rises 9 notches to #6 with "Worms". American singer/actress Miley Cyrus (from Nashville, Tennessee) climbs 5 spots to #7 with "River". American punk-rock quartet The Regrettes (from Los Angeles, California) goes up 4 more places to #9 with "Shapeshifter". They're joined in the Top 10 by American musician Pink (from Doylestown, Pennsylvania), who's leaping ahead 10 positions to #10 with "When I Get There".

Nine songs fall off the chart to make way for nine new songs. The weekend chart features 9 debuts by LGBTQ artists from the U.S.A., Germany, Canada, Thailand, and Italy:
  • 100 Gecs (from Missouri, U.S.A.)
  • Doechii (from Florida, U.S.A.)
  • Badmómzjay (from Germany)
  • Priyanka (from Ontario, Canada)
  • PP Krit (from Thailand)
  • Hayley Kiyoko (from California, U.S.A.)
  • Elliot Lee (from New York, U.S.A.)
  • Corook (from Pennsylvania, U.S.A.)
  • Osvaldo Supino (from Italy)

Chart positions are determined by a system of points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite video, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the email address below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist and they must be available on YouTube.
