Chart notes:
American musician Joe Bissell (professionally known as Zee Machine) takes over the #1 slot on Tad's LGBT Music Chart at midweek with "Thunder", moving up one more place from the weekend's #2 position. Joe was born in the U.S. but raised in China, and currently resides in Los Angeles, California. He told People Magazine that "So many queer people's lives are underscored by a kind of shame and self-hatred inflicted by society. They often have to hide and fight through it as they grow up. I've been very blessed to be able to be my truest self from the beginning. I want to be an example of the joy that can come from radical self-acceptance." The song was featured in the fifth episode of Netflix's new series Dead Boy Detective. Over the past three days, the video for "Thunder" has gained an additional 1,297 views on YouTube (which is a massive increase of 12.34% since the weekend's chart!).

Two videos move up into the Top Ten at midweek. Canadian singer/songwriter Alexander Stewart (from Toronto, Ontario) climbs 10 notches to #8 with "Leave Me in the Dark". He's joined in the Top Ten by American rock quintet The Scarlet Opera (from Los Angeles, California), who are leaping ahead 11 spots to #10 with "Riot".

Seven songs fall off the chart to make way for seven new songs. The midweek chart features 7 debuts by LGBTQ artists from Brazil, the U.S.A., Italy, and England:
  • Diplo (from Tennessee, U.S.A.) & Dove Cameron (from California, U.S.A.)
  • Zolita (from California, U.S.A.)
  • Big Freedia (from Louisiana, U.S.A.)
  • Blanco (from Italy)
  • Pabllo Vittar & Anitta (both from Brazil)
  • Girli (from England, U.K.)
  • Blimes (from California, U.S.A.)

Chart positions are determined by a system of points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the email address below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist and they must be available on YouTube.
