Chart notes:
For the second time in 2025, we have a former #1 hit returning to the top spot on Tad's LGBT Music Chart for a second non-consecutive week at #1. (Earlier this year, Australian singer/songwriter Hollie Col accomplished the same feat with "Two Step Plan".) This weekend American musician Billie Eilish (from Los Angeles, California) is moving back up 5 places from the midweek's #6 position with "Birds of a Feather". The song reached #1 on the U.S. MediaBase airplay charts in three different radio formats (pop, hot AC, and alternative) and also reached #1 on the official charts of nine other countries, becoming her first #1 hit on The Billboard Global 200 chart. Over the past four days, the video for "Birds of a Feather" has gained an additional 16,105,102 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 3.62% since the midweek's chart).
Four videos move up into the Top Ten this weekend. American alt-pop quartet The Aces (from Provo, Utah) are climbing 9 spots to #6 with "Jealous". Brazilian artist Jão jumps 10 places to #8 with "Meninos e Meninas F.C.". Australian singer Ethan (who's originally from New Zealand) rises 2 notches to #9 with "Cancel Everything". They're joined in the Top Ten by British punk-rock duo Lambrini Girls (from Brighton, England), who leap ahead 10 positions to #10 with "Cuntology 101".
Eight songs fall off the chart to make way for eight new songs. The weekend chart features 8 debuts by LGBTQ acts from England, the U.S.A., Canada, Turkey, Chile, Spain, and Japan:
- Lucy Dacus (from Virginia, USA)
- Jade LeMac (from British Columbia, Canada)
- Mabel Matiz (from Turkey)
- Durand Bernarr (from Ohio, USA)
- Barbacius (from Chile)
- Crystal Fighters (from England, U.K. and Spain)
- Romy (from England, U.K.)
- Tail (from Japan)
Voting:
Chart positions are determined by a system of points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite songs, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the contact info below for the email address). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must meet the following criteria:
- Must be from an LGBTQ artist. For a duo/group, at least one member must identify as LGBTQ. Exceptions will be permitted for straight artists who include gay content in their lyrics and/or video, and for straight artists who are widely perceived as a gay icon.
- Video must be available on YouTube.
- Video may not contain more than one minute of audio that is not music (such as dialogue).
- Video must have at least 500 views.
- Video must be longer than 2 minutes, but shorter than 6 minutes.
- Release date of the YouTube video must be within the past four months.
