ReplyDeleteI've been doing my own charts for a long time, even though I didn't post them until after you guys decided to quit doing yours. I also voted on your YouTube videos every week, and I had saved the total points from my votes there as well. So in the end, I had data going back more than a year.
DeleteFor the Top 200, I combined three charts: (1) by total points through the whole year, (2) by highest position on the chart, and (3) by total weeks on the chart. The average for these 3 were then used as the points for this Year-End chart. In the event of a tie, I looked at YouTube views.
Always happy to see you guys! I've always had an interest in doing something like this, but you were my inspiration to get started here. Wishing you much joy in 2019!

ReplyDeleteI am delighted to hear that they are staging a comeback. (I did not know this until I saw your comment.) I will continue to post playlists as long as there is some interest. We have very different methods of compiling the charts (theirs is driven chiefly by votes, while mine is weighted more heavily toward YouTube views) so I think we will complement each other quite nicely. And of course, I will support them in any way possible.
