Chart notes:
Australian musician Benji Lewis spends a second consecutive week at #1 with "New Day". The video had even more impressive gains than last week, with an additional 5,814 YouTube views over the past seven days. That's more than double (a 137% increase) from the previous week.
Eleven songs fell off the LGBT chart this week to make way for eleven new songs. The highest debut of the week was "Q.S.A." by queer Brazilian musician Jaloo, entering the chart at #37. The track is a collaboration with popular Brazilian singer Gaby Amarantos, who's known to her fans by the nickname "the Amazonian Beyoncé". The video has more than 1.6 million views on YouTube, and it gained more than 90,200 additional views in the past week alone.
Chart positions are based on points assigned from (1) the previous week's position, (2) length of time on the chart, (3) views on YouTube from the past 7 days, (4) percentage of increase in views from the week prior, (5) my votes, and (6) any votes I've received by Wednesday morning. If you'd like to vote for your favorite songs, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info above).
