 Chart Week #50 of 2020: Week of 13th December




Chart notes:
   Spanish musician Pablo Alborán moves up to the top of the LGBT chart this week with "Si Hubieras Querido", climbing two notches to the #1 spot. Over the past decade, Pablo has been one of the most popular singers in Spain, reaching #1 on the Spanish charts with each of his first five albums. (He has also reached #1 twice in Portugal.) He came out publicly as gay in June 2020. Over the past seven days, the video for "Si Hubieras Querido" has gained an additional 583,125 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 5.60% over the previous week).

   Thirteen songs fell off the chart this week to make way for thirteen new songs. The highest debut of the week was "Gold" by Brooklyn singer/songwriter Claud, entering the chart at #38. Claud identifies as queer and non-binary and prefers the pronouns "they/them". In the past week, the video for "Gold" has gained an additional 9,166 YouTube views (which is an increase of 12.93% over the week prior).

   Chart positions are based on points assigned from (1) the previous week's chart position, (2) length of time on the chart, (3) views on YouTube from the past 7 days, (4) percentage of increase in YouTube views from the week prior, (5) my votes, and (6) any votes I've received by Wednesday at 12 noon (California time).
