Chart Week 06 of 2021: Week of 7th February

Chart Week #6 of 2021: Week of 7th February

Chart notes:
American singer/songwriter LP (whose real name is Laura Pergolizzi) hits #1 on the LGBT chart this week with "How Low Can You Go?", rising one notch from last week's #2 spot. She's originally from Long Island, but she moved to Los Angeles in 2010. The video for "How Low Can You Go?" has gained an additional 189,791 views on YouTube over the past seven days (which is an increase of 5.89% over the previous week).

Nine songs fell off the chart this week to make way for nine new songs. The highest debut of the week was "Soft Spot" by New York musician Claud, entering the chart at #38. Claud (who's originally from Chicago, but is now living in Brooklyn) is the first artist signed to Phoebe Bridger's new label Saddest Factory Records, and their first full-length studio album (which is entitled Super Monster) is set to be released on February 12th. Over the past week, the video for "Soft Spot" has gained an additional 2,901 YouTube views (which is an increase of 9.08% over the week prior).

Further down the chart, we also have debuts from three more American acts -- Greyson Chance (originally from Texas), Reigen (from New York), and the pop/rap duo Fhat (also from New York). They're joined by two groups from England (The Irrepressibles and the Frock Destroyers), two artists from Brazil (Renan Pitanga and John Moonstone), and one vocalist from Germany (Wincent Weiss).

Each week, Tad's LGBT music chart brings you the Top 50 videos by LGBT artists from around the world. Chart positions are based on points assigned from (1) the previous week's chart position, (2) length of time on the chart, (3) views on YouTube from the past seven days, (4) percentage of increase in YouTube views from the week prior, (5) my votes, and (6) any votes I've received by Wednesday at 12 noon (California time). If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are welcomed, but must be from an LGBT artist & must be available on YouTube.
