Chart notes:
American country singer/songwriter Adam Mac (from Russellville, Kentucky) has earned his first #1 on Tad's LGBT Music Chart this weekend with "Disco Cowboy", moving up one more place from the midweek's #2 position. Adam says that when he was growing up, there really weren't any openly-gay artists in the country music genre and he aims to change that for a whole new generation of country fans. He told All Country News that, "It just takes one authentic person to live their truth so loud and in color and the ripple effect that has on the people around you. In the end, it's all love... and a little disco, cowboy." The video premiered exclusively on CMT (Country Music Television) in the U.S.A. and it went on to take the #1 spot on The CMT 12-Pack Countdown for four weeks. Over the past half-week, the video for "Disco Cowboy" has gained an additional 685 views on YouTube (which is a massive increase of 22.89% since the midweek's chart!).

Two videos move up into the Top 10 this weekend. American musician Kelela (from Gaithersburg, Maryland) climbs 4 notches to #7 with "Contact". She's joined in the Top 10 by German model/singer Wincent Weiss, who's also moving up 4 notches to reach #10 with "Bleiben Wir".

Eight songs fall off the chart to make way for eight new songs. The weekend chart features 8 debuts by LGBTQ artists from the U.S.A., Russia, Canada, France, South Africa, Italy, and England:
  • Carpetgarden (from California, U.S.A.)
  • Pussy Riot (from Russia)
  • Xana (from British Columbia, Canada)
  • Chéri (from France)
  • Nakhane (from South Africa)
  • Blanco (from Italy)
  • Rita Ora (from England, U.K.)
  • Wrabel (from Texas, U.S.A.)

Chart positions are determined by points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist and they must be available on YouTube.
