Chart notes:
There's a new #1 video on Tad's LGBT Music Chart at midweek, as Austrian drag artist Conchita Wurst moves up one more place from the weekend's #2 position with "Dirty Maria". The clip was filmed in a gay bathhouse in Vienna. Conchita says, "The song revolves around boundless greed... in the balancing act between temptation and restraint, for which one always devises their own escape tactics." The track has reached #1 on The iTunes Streaming Chart in Finland and #8 in Austria. Over the past half-week, the video for "Dirty Maria" has gained an additional 1,330 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 1.19% since the weekend's chart).

Three videos move up into the Top 10 at midweek. American musician Mad Tsai (originally from Hudson Beach, Florida) climbs 4 notches to #7 with "Stacy's Brother". British vocalist Sam Smith (from Cambridgeshire, England) rises 6 spots to #8 with "Gimme". They're joined in the Top 10 by American singer/songwriter Gregory Dillon (from Fort Wayne, New Hampshire), who's moving up 6 more places to #10 with "LSD".

Eight songs fall off the chart to make way for eight new songs. The midweek chart features 8 debuts by LGBTQ artists from the U.S.A., England, Scotland, Germany, and Austria:
  • Pink (from Pennsylvania, U.S.A.)
  • Emeli Sandé (from England, U.K.)
  • Taylor Swift (from Tennessee, U.S.A.)*
  • Model/Actriz (from Massachusetts, U.S.A.)
  • Joesef (from Scotland, U.S.A.)
  • K. Flay (from Illinois, U.S.A.)
  • Siovo (from Germany)
  • Lou Asril (from Austria)

* Note: Taylor Swift does not identify as LGBTQ. The video for "Lavender Haze" is only included because it stars transgender model/actor Laith Ashley as Taylor's love interest.

Chart positions are determined by points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the email address below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist and they must be available on YouTube.
