    Twice a week, Tad's LGBT Music Chart brings you the Top 50 music videos by LGBTQ artists from around the world.

Chart notes:
   American musician Mad Tsai (from Huntington Beach, California) takes over the #1 spot on Tad's LGBT Music Chart at midweek with "Teenage Nightmare", moving up 2 places from the weekend's #3 position. The song is the title track from his second EP which was released in October. According to SoundCharts, the track has reached #1 on The iTunes Digital/Streaming Chart in Latvia and has been consistently garnering around 3,500 streams per day globally on Spotify. Over the past half-week, the video for "Teenage Nightmare" has gained an additional 6,391 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 4.24% since the weekend's chart).
 
   Three videos move up into the Top Ten at midweek, all of which happen to be from American artists. Singer/songwriter Lauv (from Radnor, Pennsylvania) climbs 9 notches to #8 with "Because of You". Indie-rock band Mamalarky (from Austin, Texas) rises 5 spots to #9 with "Nothing Lasts Forever". They're joined in the Top Ten by American artist RealXman (from San Diego, California), who's leaping ahead 11 places to #10 with "I Ain't Straight".
 
   Six songs fall off the chart to make way for six new songs. The midweek chart features 6 debuts by LGBTQ artists from the U.S.A., Australia, Belgium, England, and Germany:
  • Jaden Smith (from California, USA)
  • Hope D (from Australia)
  • Kacey Musgraves (from Texas, USA)
  • Semler (originally from Belgium & now residing in California, USA)
  • Cody Frost (from England, U.K.)
  • Shirin David (from Germany)
 
Voting:
   Chart positions are determined by a system of points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the contact info below for the email address). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be from an LGBTQ artist. For a duo/group, at least one member must identify as LGBTQ. Exceptions will be permitted for straight artists who include gay content in their lyrics and/or video, and for straight artists who are widely perceived as a gay icon.
  • Video must be available on YouTube.
  • Video may not contain more than one minute of audio that is not music (such as dialogue).
  • Video must have at least 500 views.
  • Video must be longer than 2 minutes, but shorter than 6 minutes.
  • Release date of the YouTube video must be within the past four months.
