Chart notes:
American rapper/singer Lil Nas X (from Austell, Georgia) claims the #1 spot on Tad's LGBT Music Chart this weekend with "Light Again!", moving up one more place from the midweek's #2 position. In 2019, Lil Nas X became the first artist to come out publicly as gay while simultaneously holding the #1 spot on The Billboard Hot 100 chart with "Old Town Road". The song went on to spend 19 weeks at #1, making it the longest-running #1 single since the inception of The Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1958. His latest track "Light Again!" is the lead single from his second full-length studio album Dreamboy, which is expected to be released later this year. Over the past four days, the video for "Light Again!" has gained an additional 75,555 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 2.25% since the midweek's chart).

Four videos move up into the Top Ten this weekend. Dutch musician Jaïr Faria climbs 9 notches to #6 with "Better than the Rest". Swedish actor/singer Omar Rudberg rises 4 spots to #8 with "Girlfriend". Dominican singer/rapper Tokischa moves ahead 9 more places to #9 with "De Maravisha". They're joined in the Top Ten by American singer/songwriter Kesha (from Nashville, Tennessee), who's climbing 9 spots to #10 with "Joyride".

Twelve songs fall off the chart to make way for twelve new songs. The weekend chart features 12 debuts by LGBTQ artists from Ukraine, the U.S.A., Sweden, Zambia, Canada, Puerto Rico, England, Lithuania, Germany, Turkey, and France:
  • Artem Pivovarov & Max Barskih (both from Ukraine)

Voting:
Chart positions are determined by a system of points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the contact info below for the email address). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must meet the following criteria:

  • Video must be available on YouTube.
  • Video may not contain more than one minute of audio that is not music (such as dialogue).
  • Video must have at least 500 views.
