Chart notes:
British punk rock duo Lambrini Girls (from Brighton, England) achieve their first #1 on Tad's LGBT Music Chart this weekend with "No Homo", moving up one more place from the midweek's #2 position. The band takes its name from Lambrini Perry (a hard pear cider), which bassist Phoebe Lunny describes as "toilet wine for sluts". Upon the release of this track, Lambrini Girls wrote "This song is an ode to the struggles of internalized homophobia... We want to flip the script on queer narratives. Joy over repression, pride over shame. Being queer is fucking fun. Kiss your mates. God is gay. No homo." Over the past four days, the video for "No Homo" has gained an additional 3.701 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 2.67% since the midweek's chart).

Three videos move up into the Top Ten this weekend. Italian singer/songwriter Damiano David climbs 6 notches to #7 with "Next Summer". British singer Joesef (from Glasgow, Scotland) rises 3 spots to #9 with "Stephanie's Place". They're joined in the Top Ten by British drag performer Lady Camden (from London, England), who's moving up one more place to #10 with "Just Enough".

Twelve songs fall off the chart to make way for twelve new songs. The weekend chart features 12 debuts by LGBTQ artists from the U.S.A., Japan, South Korea, France, Ukraine, Australia, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, the Philippines, and Lithuania:
  • XG (originally from Japan & now living in South Korea)
  • LA Laura Paris (originally from France & now residing in California, USA)
  • Max Barskih (from Ukraine)
  • Sia (from Australia)
  • Christian Chávez (from Mexico)
  • Romero Ferro (from Brazil)
  • Baby Yors (originally from Argentina & now living in California, USA)

Voting:
Chart positions are determined by a system of points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the contact info below for the email address). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be from an LGBTQ artist. For a duo/group, at least one member must identify as LGBTQ. Exceptions will be permitted for straight artists who include gay content in their videos and/or lyrics, and for straight artists who are widely perceived as a gay icon.
  • Video must be available on YouTube.
  • Video must not contain more than one minute of audio that is not music (such as dialogue).
  • Video must have at least 500 views.
  • Video must be longer than 2 minutes, but shorter than 6 minutes.
