Chart notes:
"Dangerous" by Zee Machine (from Los Angeles) holds onto the #1 spot for a second week. Also in the Top Five this week are: Indigo Face (from London), J Hart (from Essex, UK), Joey Suarez (from New York City), and Blair St. Clair (from Indianapolis).
Ten songs fell off the chart this week to make way for eight new songs and two re-entries. The highest debut of the week was "Rewrite the Stars" by Anne-Marie and James Arthur (both from the UK), coming in at #32. The song was originally performed by Zac Efron and Zendaya for the film The Greatest Showman. Anne-Marie, who was also on this chart in December with her solo hit "Perfect To Me", came out as bisexual in 2018.
This week I'm experimenting a bit with the aesthetics on this blog. The changes are purely cosmetic, and will be most different on mobile devices. The font size will appear a bit small on some tablets and smartphones, but I'm assuming that people will be able to zoom in & adjust the screens quite easily. As always, please let me know if you have any feedback.
Chart positions are based on (1) the previous week's position, (2) length of time on the chart, (3) my votes, (4) views on YouTube, and (5) any votes I've received by Thursday morning. If you'd like to vote for your favorite songs, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info above).

There have already been a couple of inquiries about the "Origin" column in the table above, so I might need to explain that next week. I was using the same two-letter abbreviations used by the UN and many websites. Here are the ones used in this week's chart for easier reference:
ReplyDeleteAU = Australia
BR = Brazil
CA = Canada
DK = Denmark
ES = Spain
FR = France
GB = Great Britain
IN = India
IS = Iceland
LT = Lithuania
MX = Mexico
MY = Malaysia
NO = Norway
NZ = New Zealand
PR = Puerto Rico
US = United States
Also there is one mistake in the chart above. I forgot to add a week for the re-entries. This is the 3rd week on the chart for Kika Lorace and the 5th week for Theo X. I will correct it next week.
