Chart notes:
There's a new #1 video on the chart this week as JHart (whose real name is James Abrahart) moves up 2 spots. He's originally from the UK, but now makes his home in Los Angeles. JHart has written hit songs for numerous other artists (including Jason DeRulo, Justin Bieber, Camila Cabello, Little Mix, Martin Garrix, and Keith Urban).

The other artists in the Top Five all happen to be Americans this week: Zee Machine (from California), Blair St. Clair (from Indiana), Sam Tsui (from Pennsylvania), and Jordy (originally from Illinois, but now residing in California).

Ten songs fell off the chart this week to make way for nine new songs and one re-entry. The highest debut of the week was "Désobéissance" by Mylène Farmer, coming in at #34. According to her Wikipedia page, she holds the record for the most #1 singles on the French chart.

Another noteworthy new entry this week is "15 Minutes" by Leigh Garland (from Dublin), entering the chart at #46. The transgender teen has been posting cover songs to his YouTube channel for a few years now, but lately he's been working on original songs. This is his first official music video.

Chart positions are based on (1) the previous week's position, (2) length of time on the chart, (3) views on YouTube, (4) my votes, and (5) any votes I've received by Thursday morning. If you'd like to vote for your favorite songs, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info above).
