Chart notes:
Irish quartet Westlife scores their first #1 on the LGBT chart this week, as "Dynamite" moves up three places to take over the top spot. Mark Feehily, the youngest member of the group, came out publicly as gay in 2005. Earlier this year, he announced that he and his fiancé Cailean O'Neill were about to become dads and were having a daughter via surrogate.

Eight songs fell off the chart this week to make way for eight new songs. The highest debut of the week was "Graveyard" by American singer Halsey, coming in at #33. The bisexual artist revealed recently on Instagram that she had broken her nose, although she hasn't provided any details as to how it happened.

Chart positions are based on points assigned from (1) the previous week's position, (2) length of time on the chart, (3) views on YouTube from the past seven days, (4) percentage of increase in views from the week prior, (5) my votes, and (6) any votes I've received by Wednesday morning. If you'd like to vote for your favorite songs, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info above).

  2. how do you know the origin of the songs? is it the origin of where the song was made or the person that made it?

    1. Hi Oliver! It's meant to be the origin of the artists, not the origin of the songs. Usually I can find that with a quick Google search.
