Chart notes:
American musician Jason Mraz climbs to the top of the LGBT chart this week, as "Look For the Good" moves up one more spot to the #1 position. The two-time Grammy Award winner (who's from San Diego, California) has pledged to donate 100% of the earnings from his latest reggae-pop fusion album -- including his $250,000 advance -- to non-profit charities, particularly those who are working toward racial equality and justice. Sales and streams will help fund Black Lives Matter, San Diego Young Artists Music Academy, RISE San Diego, the Grassroots Law Project, the Center on Policy Initiatives, and the Equal Justice Initiative. "This is bigger than me," Jason recently told the Associated Press. "Now the CD itself has a purpose. The record itself actually can go out and serve."

Nine songs fell off the chart this week to make way for nine new songs. The highest debut of the week was "Klassy" by American choreographers/musicians/producers Jack Rayner and Jonté Moaning, entering the chart at #34. Jack Rayner hails from Los Angeles, and over the past decade he's worked with superstars like Katy Perry, Britney Spears, and Miley Cyrus. He's also well-known for his work on the Magic Mike films and the Magic Mike Live shows in Las Vegas, London, and Berlin. Jonté Moaning got his start as a dancer with the Portland (Oregon) Ballet Theatre, and he's choreographed live shows for Janet Jackson and Beyoncé. This is the first appearance on the LGBT chart for either of them.

Chart positions are based on points assigned from (1) the previous week's chart position, (2) length of time on the chart, (3) views on YouTube from the past seven days, (4) percentage of increase in YouTube views from the week prior, (5) my votes, and (6) any votes I've received by Wednesday morning. If you'd like to vote for your favorite songs, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info above).
