Chart Week #24 of 2021: Week of 13th June
Chart notes:
American rapper/singer Tiger Goods (from Cincinnati, Ohio) claims her first #1 on the LGBT chart this week with "Just You", climbing one more place from last week's #2 position. It's the second single off her latest EP Most Improved Award (released in April 2021). Tiger has won critical acclaim for her music, which seems to blend different genres (like pop, R&B, and disco) with ease. Over the past seven days, the video for "Just You" has gained an additional 20,405 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 21.54% over the previous week).
Four videos move up into the Top 10 this week. Brazilian drag queen Pabllo Vittar jumps 12 spots to #3 with "Ama Sofre Chora". One-man English band Years And Years (which is now just a solo project for lead singer Olly Alexander, since the other band members have dropped out) is gaining 7 places this week to reach #4 with "Starstruck". Dutch vocalist Dotan climbs 13 notches to #7 with "Mercy". And finally, Chilean singer Nick Bolt is moving up 4 more spots to #8 with "Magia Negra".
Ten songs fall off the chart this week to make way for ten new songs. The highest debut of the week was "You" by Australian musician Troye Sivan, a collaboration with Kosovar DJ/producer Regard & Canadian singer-songwriter Tate McRae, entering the chart at #28. The track has already reached #1 in Belgium and #3 in New Zealand, and it's climbing the charts in several other countries. In the U.S.A., it's currently #1 on the MediaBase Dance Chart (airplay only) and it's at #3 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Chart (a combination of airplay, sales, and streaming). Over the past week, the video for "You" has gained an additional 797,883 YouTube views (which is an increase of 47.94% over the week prior).
