Chart Week 25 of 2021: Week of 20th June

Every week, Tad's LGBT Music Chart brings you the Top 50 music videos by LGBT artists from around the world.

Chart Week #25 of 2021: Week of 20th June

Chart notes:
Brazilian drag queen Pabllo Vittar scores her third #1 on the LGBT chart this week with "Ama Sofre Chora", rising two notches from last week's #3 spot. (Pabllo previously hit #1 on this chart with "Amor de Que" back in March 2020, and then again with "Timida" in June 2020.) The track combines traditional Brazilian rhythms and Dominican bachata music, woven into a modern pop ballad. Pabllo recently performed at The Advocate Champions of Pride: A Virtual Celebration on June 1st, along with other LGBT performers like Kat Cunning and Jake Wesley Rogers. This week, she'll be performing again for It Gets Better: A Digital Pride Experience on June 23rd & 24th, alongside other LGBT acts like Laverne Cox, Monique Hart, Vincint, Jordy, and Todrick Hall. Over the past seven days, the video for "Ama Sofre Chora" has gained an additional 1,254,288 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 8.43% over the previous week).

Three videos move up into the Top 10 this week. English singer/songwriter Dodie rises 6 places to #6 with "I Kissed Someone (It Wasn't You)". American singer Willow Smith climbs 4 spots to #7 with "Transparent Soul". And finally, Norwegian vocalist Ruben joins them in the Top 10 with "Running", up 5 more notches to hit #9 this week.

Seven songs fall off the chart this week to make way for seven new songs. The highest debut of the week was "Cover Boy" by American musician/model Stewart Taylor, entering the chart at #35. Originally from New York, Stewart attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston before relocating to Los Angeles. He last appeared on this chart in November 2019 with "Mess Your Hair Up", which peaked at #25 and spent a total of 4 weeks on the LGBT chart. Over the past seven days, the video for "Cover Boy" has gained an additional 1,687 YouTube views (which is an increase of 19.72% over the week prior).

Further down the chart, we have 6 more debuts from Canada, the USA, England, and Sweden:
  • Pink (from Pennsylvania, USA)
  • Anne-Marie (from England, UK)
  • Carlie Hanson (from Wisconsin, USA)
  • Andreas Moss (from Sweden)
  • Mo Kenney (from Nova Scotia, Canada)
  • Austin Strange (from Ontario, Canada)

Chart positions are based on points assigned from (1) the previous week's chart position, (2) length of time on the chart, (3) views on YouTube from the past seven days, (4) percentage of increase in YouTube views since the week prior, (5) my votes, and (6) any votes I've received by Thursday at 12 noon (California time). If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBT artist & must be available on YouTube.
