Chart notes:
It's a rare event when a video from outside the Top 5 manages to push ahead of all its competitors and take over the #1 spot on this chart, but that's exactly what happened this weekend as we reach the midway point of 2022. Lithuanian musician Gabrielius Vagelis earns his first #1 on the LGBT chart this weekend with "Man Trūksta Dienų", moving up 6 more places from the midweek's #7 position. Gabrielius is an openly gay singer/songwriter who says that his dream is to represent Lithuania at The Eurovision Song Contest, and yet he has never been selected for that honor despite five attempts at entering the competition. The title of his latest single translates to "I Miss the Days" in English. Over the past four days, the video for "Man Trūksta Dienų" has gained an additional 73,705 views on YouTube (which is a huge increase of 11.13% since the midweek's chart!).

Four videos move up into the Top 10 this weekend, two of which are from American acts: Kelechi and Vincint (both from Los Angeles, California) leap ahead 10 places to #7 with "Just Another Song", while Panic! At The Disco (from Las Vegas, Nevada) climbs 8 more notches to #8 with "Viva Las Vengeance". Brazilian singer Bruno Gadiol rises 3 spots to #9 with "Anestesiado". They're joined in the Top 10 by Belgian musician Oscar And The Wolf, who's moving up 5 more positions to #10 with "Dancing Machine".

Fourteen songs fall off the chart to make way for thirteen new songs and one re-entry. The highest debut this weekend was "End Like This" by Irish/American singer/songwriter Matt Taylor, entering the chart at #29. Matt is originally from Dublin, but he now resides in California. The lyrics of this track reflect on the end of a summer love, as he bids goodbye to a relationship that's ending. Matt wrote half of the song before breaking up with his boyfriend. As he told Enigma Magazine during a recent interview, "We agreed to meet on a Saturday and I wrote half of 'End Like This' before we met, and the other half after. I knew the chat was doomed from the start, so I wanted to prepare myself and make it easier. If I knew it was going to end, I might as well make it fun!" Over the past half-week, the video for "End Like This" has gained an additional 9,114 YouTube views (which is a huge increase of 10.58% over the previous chart period!).

Further down the chart, we have 12 more debuts by LGBTQ artists from England, the U.S.A., Ukraine, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Spain, Poland, and Australia:
  • Kehlani (from California, USA)
  • Max Barskih (from Ukraine)
  • Trey Pearson (from Ohio, USA)
  • Gloria Groove (from Brazil)
  • Xana (from British Columbia, Canada)
  • Jakk Fynn (from California, USA)
  • Tokio Hotel (from Germany)
  • Chico Blanco (from Spain)
  • Ofelia (from Poland)
  • Sarah Proctor (from England, UK)
  • Tin (from Australia)
  • Virgin X (originally from Oregon, USA & now living in England, UK)

Chart positions are based on points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes, with YouTube views accounting for two-thirds of the total points. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist and they must be available on YouTube.
