Chart notes:
English musician Jamie Hannah reaches the top of the LGBT chart at midweek with "Flowers', moving up 1 more place from the weekend's #2 position. Jamie was trained in opera and classical music, and he brings that influence to his soaring pop vocals. "When you listen to my new song I want you to feel that it is OK to feel vulnerable searching for love," he told Broadway World. He continued, "Getting hurt or being let down in the process is a necessary part of life -- to have experienced the euphoria and the joy to smell the flowers. We all have experienced similar challenges -- and it's time for us not to feel so alone in the discovery process." Over the past three days, the video for "Flowers" has gained an additional 4,603 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 8.48% since the weekend's chart).

Three videos move up into the Top 10 at midweek, two of which happen to be from Italian acts: Måneskin (from Rome) leaps ahead 13 positions to #7 with "Supermodel", while Myss Keta (from Milan) climbs 7 notches to #9 with "Finimondo". They're joined in the Top 10 by American country singer Fancy Hagood (from Bentonville, Arkansas), who's rising 8 spots to #6 with "Bored".

Seven songs fall off the chart to make way for seven new songs. The highest debut at midweek was "Make Me Your Villain" by American singer/songwriter Sarah Barrios, entering the chart at #37. Originally from a small city in Connecticut, she now resides in Los Angeles. Sarah has appeared as a contestant on both The X Factor (in 2014) and American Idol (in 2016). She won The New England Music Award for "Best New Act Of The Year" in 2014, was named by Connecticut Magazine as one of their "40 Under 40 High Achievers" in 2015, and was one of five finalists for The National Guitar Center Singer/Songwriter Competition in L.A. in 2016. Over the past half-week, the video for "Make Me Your Villain" has gained an additional 27,000 YouTube views (which is a massive increase of 31.64% over the previous chart period!).

Further down the chart, we have 6 more debuts by LGBTQ artists from the U.S.A., Japan, Switzerland, and Spain:
  • Hayley Kiyoko (from California, USA)
  • Kehlani (from California, USA)
  • Lagoona Bloo (from New York, USA)
  • MeseMoa (from Japan)
  • Laskaar (originally from Switzerland & now living in Spain)
  • Wrabel (from Texas, USA)

Chart positions are based on points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist and they must be available on YouTube.
