Chart notes:
After waiting patiently at #2 for two weeks, American musician Wrabel (who's originally from Houston, Texas) reaches the top spot on Tad's LGBT Music Chart this weekend with "Happier". The lyrics are a departure for Wrabel, who admits that he usually writes songs about heartache and unrequited love. This song is about finding joy after healing from a breakup. The video shows Wrabel abandoning a lover in the pouring rain, and then throwing a confetti-covered tea party with his friends and his dog. According to SoundCharts, the song has appeared on the official charts of 12 different countries and has reached #1 in two of them (Germany and Indonesia). Over the past half-week, the video for "Happier" has gained an additional 690 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 1.72% since the midweek's chart).

Two videos move up into the Top 10 this weekend. French rapper/singer Illustre climbs 6 notches to #5 with "V". She's joined in the Top 10 by Brazilian singer/actor Renan Pitanga, who's rising 3 spots to #10 with "Até A Bateria Acabar".

Nine songs fall off the chart to make way for nine new songs. The weekend chart features 9 debuts by LGBTQ artists from the U.S.A., Italy, England, Wales, France, Argentina, and Sweden:
  • 100 Gecs (from Missouri, U.S.A.)
  • Jason Mraz (originally from Virginia & now residing in California, U.S.A.)
  • Italove (from Italy)
  • Lauren Sanderson (from Indiana, U.S.A.)
  • Henry Newbury (from England, U.K.)
  • Tayce (from Wales, U.K.)
  • Marius (from France)
  • Uni And The Urchins (from New York, U.S.A.)
  • Tharyk (originally from Argentina & now living in Sweden)

Chart positions are determined by a system of points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the email address below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist and they must be available on YouTube.
