British singer/actor Olly Alexander (from Gloucestershire, England) has reached the #1 spot on Tad's LGBT Music Chart at midweek with "Cupid's Bow", moving up 2 more places from the weekend's #3 position. The track is the lead single from Olly's first solo album (entitled Polari) under his own name (as he recorded previously under the name Years And Years). According to SoundCharts, the song has appeared on the official airplay and/or streaming charts of 39 different countries and has reached the Top Ten in 13 of them. The song peaked at #2 in the United Kingdom, and it reached #1 in France. Over the past half-week, the video for "Cupid's Bow" has gained an additional 2,262 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 1.25% since the weekend's chart).
Three videos move up into the Top Ten at midweek. Australian musician Hope D climbs 5 notches to #8 with "Nails". American rapper/singer Doechii (from Tampa, Florida) rises 3 spots to #9 with "Denial is a River". They're joined in the Top Ten by Brazilian singer Jaloo, who's moving up one more place to #10 with "Ocitocina".
Nine songs fall off the chart to make way for nine new songs. The midweek chart features 9 debuts by LGBTQ artists from England, the U.S.A., Poland, Ireland, and Brazil:

- Ofelia (from Poland)
- Villagers (from Ireland)
- The Aces (from Utah, USA)
- Tom Aspaul (from England, U.K.)
- The Knocks (from New York, USA)

Voting:
Chart positions are determined by a system of points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the contact info below for the email address). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must meet the following criteria:
- Must be from an LGBTQ artist. For a duo/group, at least one member must identify as LGBTQ. Exceptions will be permitted for straight artists who include gay content in their lyrics and/or video, and for straight artists who are widely perceived as a gay icon.
- Video must be available on YouTube.
- Video may not contain more than one minute of audio that is not music (such as dialogue).
- Video must have at least 500 views.
- Video must be longer than 2 minutes, but shorter than 6 minutes.
- Release date of the YouTube video must be within the past four months.
