Chart notes:
There's a new #1 on the LGBT chart this week, as Felix Jaehn and Calum Scott take over the top spot with "Love On Myself". This is the first time on the LGBT chart for German DJ/producer Felix Jaehn, who came out as bisexual in 2018. The vocals on this track are provided by English vocalist Calum Scott, who came out as gay shortly after he competed on the television show Britain's Got Talent in 2015. Calum toured the USA earlier this summer, which included a performance at Washington DC's Capital Pride festival. Felix is also wrapping up his own US tour, with only a few more performances scheduled for this week.

The remainder of the Top Five this week are: American rapper Lil Nas X (climbing 1 spot to #2), English singer Sam Smith (slipping back 2 places to #3), Brazilian singer Silva (moving up 7 notches to #4), and Australian vocalist Alfie Arcuri (rebounding 4 spots to #5).

Fourteen songs fell off the chart this week to make way for fourteen new songs. The highest debut of the week was "Like Like" by English singer Lostchild, coming in at #14. The video nearly quadrupled its total YouTube views in a single week, which has given it a huge boost of points on this chart. It's now officially the highest debut of the year so far, and the only video to make its debut in the Top 15.

Five artists (Elderbrook, Yari Mejia, Di Nardo, Kameron Michaels, and Anna Akana) are making their very first appearances on the LGBT chart this week. An additional nine artists (Lostchild, Mika, Brockhampton, Allen King, Eli Lieb, Calum Scott, Jaimie Wilson, Muna, and Kevin McHale) are returning to the chart with brand-new videos.

Chart positions are based on points assigned from (1) the previous week's position, (2) length of time on the chart, (3) views on YouTube from the past seven days, (4) percentage of increase in views from the week prior, (5) my votes, and (6) any votes I've received by Thursday morning. If you'd like to vote for your favorite songs, please feel free to leave a message on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info above).
