Chart Week #4 of 2021: Week of 24th January
Chart notes:
American singer Miley Cyrus reaches the #1 spot this week with "Prisoner", a collaboration with English vocalist Dua Lipa. The track has reached #1 in multiple countries (including Bulgaria, Guatemala, and Malta) and is this week's new #1 on the U.K. radio airplay chart, but it seems to have stalled on the U.S. airplay chart at #20 for the past four weeks in a row. The video for "Prisoner" has gained an additional 2.078,065 views on YouTube over the past seven days (which is an increase of 4.40% over the previous week).
Nine songs fell off the chart this week to make way for nine new songs. The highest debut of the week was "Un Homme" by Belgian-French singer Jérémy Frerot, entering the chart at #24. Jérémy was a contestant on the third season of the French version of the television series The Voice (La Plus Belle Voix) in 2014 as one-half of the duo Fréro Delavega. Over the past week, the video for "Un Homme" has gained an additional 143,809 YouTube views (which is an increase of 15.57% over the week prior).
Chart positions are based on points assigned from (1) the previous week's chart position, (2) length of time on the chart, (3) views on YouTube from the past seven days, (4) percentage of increase in YouTube views from the week prior, (5) my votes, and (6) any votes I've received by 12 noon on Wednesday (California time).
