Chart Week 18 of 2021: Week of 2nd May

Each week, Tad's LGBT Music Chart brings you the Top 50 most-watched music videos by LGBT artists from around the world.

Chart Week #18 of 2021: Week of 2nd May

Chart notes:
American singer/songwriter LP has the new #1 on the LGBT chart this week with "One Last Time", climbing three more notches to reach the top spot. LP has said that the song and the video represent the fragility of relationships and of life itself: how every moment is precious because in the blink of an eye, everything can be taken away. Over the past seven days, the video for "One Last Time" has gained an additional 674,864 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 8.78% over the previous week).

Five videos move up into the Top 10 this week. Three of those five are from American artists (Lil Nas X at #4, Miley Cyrus at #5, and PrettiBoiRoq at #8). Joining them in the Top 10 are Israeli musician Harel Skaat at #9 and Colombian singer Esteman at #10.

Ten songs fall off the chart this week to make way for ten new songs. The highest debut of the week was "My House" by London DJ/drag performer Jodie Harsh, entering the chart at #29. Jodie (whose real name is James Clarke) is an actress as well as a DJ, having appeared in Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie and RuPaul's Drag Race U.K. The track is a remake of the 1985 hit "In My House" by the Mary Jane Girls, and the video features 61 drag queens from every corner of the U.K. Over the past week, the video for "My House" has gained an additional 38,675 YouTube views (which is an increase of 12.95% over the week prior).

Further down the chart, we have 9 more debuts from the USA, England, Belgium, Ukraine, New Zealand, and Russia:
  • Max Barskih (from Ukraine)
  • Oscar And The Wolf (from Belgium)
  • Kyan Palmer (originally from Arizona, USA)
  • The Aces (from Utah, USA)
  • Gess (from California, USA) and Sxmson (from England, UK)
  • Pussy Riot (from Russia)
  • Tayla Parx (from Texas, USA)
  • Ben Hazlewood (originally from New Zealand)
  • Parker Matthews (originally from Pennsylvania, USA)

Chart positions are based on points assigned from (1) the previous week's chart position, (2) length of time on the chart, (3) views on YouTube from the past 7 days, (4) percentage of increase in YouTube views from the week prior, (5) my votes, and (6) any votes I've received by Thursday at 12 noon (California time). If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBT artist & must be available on YouTube.
