Chart notes:
Spanish singer Pablo Alborán reaches the top of the LGBT chart this weekend with "Carretera Y Manta", rising one more place from the midweek's #2 position. The song's lyrics are a tribute to the close friendships that help you overcome bad times. "It is essential to have good friends who love you well," he says. Over the past four days, the video for "Carretera Y Manta" has gained an additional 102,810 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 4.48% since the midweek's chart).

Two videos move up into the Top 10 this weekend. American actor/musician Brian Falduto climbs 5 spots to #8 with "Same Old Country Love Song". He's joined in the Top 10 by British singer/songwriter Rina Sawayama, who rises 7 notches to #9 with "Hold the Girl".

Eight songs fall off the chart to make way for eight new songs. The highest debut this weekend was "Bet That" by American rapper ILoveMakonnen, entering the chart at #38. ILoveMakonnen (whose real name is Makonnen Sheran) is originally from Atlanta and he started his career by uploading his music to MySpace. His popularity grew as gained fans that included several famous musicians (such as Miley Cyrus, Drake, and Adele). He achieved a #1 hit in the U.S.A. in 2014 when Drake remixed his song "Tuesday". In January 2017, ILoveMakonnen came out as gay. Over the past half-week, the video for "Bet That" has gained an additional 3,475 YouTube views (which is a massive increase of 14.32% over the previous chart period!).

Further down the chart, we have 7 more debuts by LGBTQ artists from the U.S.A., Ukraine, and Italy:
  • Melovin (from Ukraine)
  • GraveyardGuy (from Pennsylvania, USA)
  • Corvyx (from New York, USA)
  • Saucy Santana (from Florida, USA)
  • Cazwell (from Massachusetts, USA)
  • Lauren Sanderson (from Indiana, USA)
  • Sem&Stènn (from Italy)

Chart positions are based on points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist and they must be available on YouTube.
