Chart notes:
Italian rock group Måneskin reaches #1 on the LGBT chart at midweek with "If I Can Dream", moving up one more place from the weekend's #2 position. The track, which is featured on the soundtrack of the motion picture Elvis, is a cover of Elvis Presley's 1968 hit. The original Elvis song, whose lyrics were similar to Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech, was released just two months after King's assassination and reached as high as #9 on the official radio airplay chart in the U.S.A. Måneskin premiered their version at The 2022 Eurovision Song Contest in Turin, Italy. Over the past three days, the video for "If I Can Dream" has gained an additional 198,289 views on YouTube (which is a huge increase of 8.13% since the weekend's chart!).
Five videos move up into the Top 10 at midweek. American pop duo Middlespoon (from Austin, Texas) climbs 9 spots to #5 with "Crush On U". South Korean boy-band Ateez rises 6 notches to #6 with "Guerrilla". American singer/songwriter Hayley Kiyoko (from Agoura Hills, California) gains 8 places to reach #7 with "Panorama". Spanish musician Pablo Alborán leaps ahead 12 positions to #8 with "Carreterra Y Manta". American rocker Danny Blu (from New York City, New York) climbs 10 more notches to #9 with "Give Me Your Love". They're joined in the Top 10 by English singer/songwriter Dodie, who's moving up 8 places to #10 with "Got Weird".
Twelve songs fall off the chart to make way for twelve new songs. The highest debut at midweek was "Agenda" by American rapper Damez, entering the chart at #33. The openly gay Atlanta-based rapper (whose real name is Damién Henderson) speaks out on a variety of topics in the lyrics, including homophobia as he raps "I want my funeral magenta, just to piss off all my homophobic relatives". The clip was filmed in the same barber shop that Damez used to frequent as a child. Over the past half-week, the video for "Agenda" has gained an additional 1,395 YouTube views (which is a massive increase of 37.04% over the previous chart period!).
Further down the chart, we have 11 more debuts by LGBTQ artists from Canada, England, the U.S.A., Denmark, and Belgium:
