Chart notes:
German singer/songwriter Lena Meyer-Landrut continues her reign atop the LGBT chart at midweek with "Looking For Love". Lena says the song's message is simple: that people should love each other more. She explains, "Only those who give love will also receive love. If we all followed suit, this world would definitely be a little bit better." Over the past three days, the video for "Looking For Love" has gained an additional 38,045 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 4.11% since the weekend's chart).

Five videos move up into the Top 10 at midweek, including returns from two former #1 hits who are each rebounding back up 4 places from their positions on the weekend chart: Spanish vocalist Pablo Alborán at #9 with "Carretera Y Manta", and Italian quartet Måneskin at #10 with "If I Can Dream". Bulgarian singer/producer Alek Sandar climbs 8 notches to #4 with "Please Don't Go Go". American rapper Cazwell (from Worcester, Massachusetts) rises 4 spots to #7 with "Guava Juice". They're joined in the Top 10 by Turkish musician Mabel Matiz, who's leaping ahead 12 positions to #8 with "Fan".

Five songs fall off the chart to make way for five new songs. The highest debut at midweek was "La Vita Splendida" by Italian musician Tiziano Ferro, entering the chart at #39. The song's lyrics are a celebration of close friendships, and they're dedicated to one of Tiziano's dear childhood friends. Just a few days before this track was released, Tiziano was the center of controversy after making some statements about his life as a father who is also in a same-sex relationship. He said he decided not to get his children an Italian passport because the government of Italy "excludes my husband" as a part of the family. Over the past half-week, the video for "La Vita Splendida" has gained an additional 195,597 YouTube views (which is a massive increase of 13.19% over the previous chart period!).

Further down the chart, we have 4 more debuts by LGBTQ artists from the U.S.A., the Dominican Republic, Hong Kong, China, and England:
  • Andie Case (from Oregon, USA)
  • Tokischa (from the Dominican Republic)
  • Jackson Wang (originally from Hong Kong & now residing in mainland China)
  • Harry Strange (from England, UK)

Chart positions are based on points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist and they must be available on YouTube.
