Chart notes:
There's no change at the very top of Tad's LGBT Music Chart this weekend, as American musician Mad Tsai (who's originally from Huntington Beach, California) holds onto the #1 spot with "Stacy's Brother". The lyrics were written as an homage to the 1993 hit "Stacy's Mom" by Fountains Of Wayne. When it came time to film the video, Mad Tsai told Metro Weekly that he "specifically wanted a lot of male extras that were going to be shirtless and in a lot of suggestive scenes. It's so common for women to be sexualized in the background of male artists' music videos, so I wanted to turn the tables and have a queer person of color be at the center of a music video with male extras. I wanted the video to be suggestive and sexy, since that's not often a light that Asian men are portrayed in." Over the past half-week, the video for "Stacy's Brother" has gained an additional 134,463 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 1.67% since the midweek's chart).

Two videos move up into the Top 10 this weekend. American punk trio Model/Actriz (originally from Boston, Massachusetts) climb 5 notches to #7 with "Crossing Guard". They're joined in the Top 10 by another American act, as rock quintet The Scarlet Opera (from Los Angeles, California) rise 8 more spots to #8 with "Big City Thing".

Eleven songs fall off the chart to make way for eleven new songs. The weekend chart features 11 debuts by LGBTQ artists from France, Brazil, the U.S.A., Sweden, Thailand, and North Macedonia:
  • Dove Cameron (from California, U.S.A.)
  • Tove Lo (from Sweden)
  • Mylène Farmer (from France)
  • PP Krit (from Thailand)
  • Renan Pitanga (from Brazil)
  • Bilal Hassani (from France)
  • Corook (from Pennsylvania, U.S.A.)
  • Hiran (from Brazil)
  • Manila Luzon (from Minnesota, U.S.A.)
  • Vasil Garvanliev (from North Macedonia)
  • Fiorious (from New York, U.S.A.)

Chart positions are determined by a system of points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the email address below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist and they must be available on YouTube.
