Chart notes:
Although Todrick Hall can be a controversial figure because of his penchant for stirring up drama on social media, there's no denying that he is a creative genius when it comes to music and choreography. His brilliant video for "Nails, Hair, Hips, Heels" vaults ahead six spots this week to reach #1 on the LGBT chart.

The remainder of the Top Five this week are: Scottish singer Allan Jay (holding steady for a 2nd week at #2), Canadian-American singer Elliot Jones (climbing 8 notches to #3), American singer/actor Chris Jehnert (slipping back 3 places to #4), and French chanteuse Mylene Farmer (moving up 10 spots to #5).

Eleven songs fell off the chart this week to make way for eleven new songs. The highest debut of the week was "Your Song" by gay English musician Elton John and American actor Taron Egerton, coming in at #20. The classic song was originally a hit for Elton back in 1970, but it's been re-released with its inclusion in the Rocketman soundtrack.

Just one artist (Jamie Hannah) is making his very first appearance on the LGBT chart this week. An additional ten artists (Elton John, Pentatonix, Pragya Pallavi, LP, Shea Diamond, Adam Lambert, Jordy, Kim Petras, Openside, and Kevin Chomat) are returning to the chart with brand-new videos.

Chart positions are based on points assigned from: (1) the previous week's position, (2) length of time on the chart, (3) views on YouTube from the previous seven days, (4) percentage of increase in views from the week prior, (5) my votes, and (6) any votes I've received by Thursday morning. If you'd like to vote for your favorite songs, feel free to leave a comment on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info above).
