Chart Week 28 of 2021: Week of 11th July

Twice a week, Tad's LGBT Music Chart brings you the Top 50 music videos by LGBT artists from around the world.

Chart Week #28 of 2021: Week of 11th July

Chart notes:
American singer Pink (whose real name is Alecia Moore, and who's originally from Pennsylvania) moves up one more notch to #1 this week with "All I Know So Far". In a May 2021 television appearance on What What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Pink admitted that she's dated other women & recounted being "confused" after her first girlfriend left her for her brother. She says she doesn't want to label her sexuality, adding "I just wanna live my life. I don't need you to put me in a box or to figure out who I am... I don't know yet." The video features appearances by gay icon Cher (as a regal goddess) and Judith Light (as the singer's mother). Over the past four days, the video for "All I Know So Far" has gained an additional 478,491 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 5.87% over the previous chart).

Four videos move up into the Top 10. American singer Ben Platt climbs 9 big places to #6 with "Imagine". Swedish musician Andreas Moss is right behind him at #7, going up 6 more notches from the midweek chart. Puerto Rican vocalist Ricky Martin is up 9 spots to #9 with "Qué Rico Fuera". And finally, Ukrainian artist Maruv gains another 6 places to reach #10 with "Call 911".

Nine songs fall off the chart to make way for nine new songs. The highest debut was "Colorful" by American pop trio Shaed (from Washington D.C.), entering the chart at #33. The group is composed of twin brothers Max & Spencer Ernst, along with lead singer Chelsea Lee. Max says that when he came out to his brother as gay in 2009, it was "a great liberation" for him because "I was finally able to breathe in deeply and imagine a future for myself that wasn't built on a lie." Together they have established The Colorful Campaign, an ongoing partnership with Capital Pride Alliance and The Ally Coalition that will raise money for the GivePride365 fund (which provides resources for LGBTQ organizations in need). Over the past half-week, the video for "Colorful" has gained an additional 2,368 YouTube views (which is an increase of 4.10% over the chart prior).

Further down the chart, we have 8 more debuts by LGBT artists from the USA, Germany, and Spain:
  • Todrick Hall (from Texas, USA)
  • Kat Cunning (from Oregon, USA)
  • Miley Cyrus (from Tennessee, USA)
  • Tokio Hotel (from Germany)
  • Ambar Lucid (from New Jersey, USA)
  • Amber Liu (from California, USA)
  • Javi Soleil (from Spain)
  • Lucy And La Mer (from California, USA)

Chart positions are based on points assigned from a combination of YouTube views & votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBT artist & must be available on YouTube.
