Chart Week 30 of 2021: Week of 25th July

Twice a week, Tad's LGBT Music Chart brings you the Top 50 music videos by LGBTQ artists from around the world.

Chart Week #30 of 2021: Week of 25th July

Chart notes:
American singer Todrick Hall climbs three more places to reach the #1 spot on the LGBT chart with "Rainin' Fellas". The track is from his latest full-length album Femuline (which was released on June 8th), and the video features choreography from Richy Jackson (who also works with Lady Gaga). Over the past four days, the video for "Rainin' Fellas" has gained an additional 43,236 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 2.25% over the previous chart).

Six videos move up into the Top 10. English singer/songwriter Emily Burns leaps ahead 14 notches to #3 with "I'm So Happy". There were also two big jumps into the Top 10 from American artists this week -- Boy Untitled moves up 13 places to #6 with "Losing Time", while Jordy makes a huge 19-spot gain from #28 to #9 with "Better in My Head". Pink rebounds 10 notches with her former #1 hit "All I Know So Far", moving from #14 back up to #4. Joining them in the Top 10 are American singer/rapper Maddie Ross (climbing 4 more spots to #8 with "Ears Bunny") and German band Tokio Hotel (rising one more place from #11 to #10 with "Behind Blue Eyes").

Twelve songs fall off the chart to make way for twelve new songs. The highest debut was "It's Happening Again" by transgender Australian musician Flowerkid, entering the chart at #27. Flowerkid (whose real name is Flynn Sant) grew up in Schofields & now resides in Sydney. His storytelling ability has won acclaim from critics, but he describes his songwriting process as "a madhouse". Flowerkid explained during an interview with TripleJ magazine that, "Sometimes when an idea is just coming together, I turn into this hermit and I've got paper scattered around, post-it notes everywhere, and I'm just connecting the dots." Over the past half-week, the video for "It's Happening Again" has gained an additional 20,942 YouTube views (which is an increase of 12.19% over the chart prior).

Further down the chart, we have 11 more debuts by LGBT artists from Australia, the U.S.A., Sweden, England, South Korea, and Spain:
  • Bryce Bowyn (from the District of Columbia, USA)
  • Brother Leo (from Sweden)
  • Eli Lieb (originally from Iowa, USA)
  • Bimini Bon Boulash (from England, UK)
  • Aquinas (from South Korea)
  • Jake Wesley Rogers (from Missouri, USA)
  • Kelechi (from Georgia, USA)
  • Apolo (from Spain)
  • Jax Anderson (from Michigan, USA) & Pvris (originally from Massachusetts, USA)
  • Tin (from Australia)

Chart positions are based on points assigned from a combination of YouTube views & votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBT artist & must be available on YouTube.
