Twice a week, Tad's LGBT Music Chart brings you the Top 50 music videos by LGBT artists from around the world.
Midweek Chart for 7th July, 2021
Chart notes:
Australian singer/songwriter Troye Sivan manages to hold onto the #1 spot on the LGBT chart with "You", his collaboration with Kosovar DJ/producer Regard and Canadian singer Tate McRae. The video was filmed on three different continents: Regard was in Europe, Troye was in Australia, and Tate was in North America. Over the past three days, the video for "You" has gained an additional 318,126 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 7.72% since the previous chart).
Three videos move up into the Top 10. English vocalist Girli moves up 8 notches to #5 with "More Than a Friend". Right behind her, American singer Hayley Kiyoko also climbs 8 places to reach #6 with "Chance". And finally, American musician St. Vincent goes ahead 9 spots to #10 with "Down".
Six songs fall off the chart to make way for six new songs. The highest debut was "Bonekinha (Dolly)" by Brazilian drag queen Gloria Groove, entering the chart at #38. Her credited partner on the track, Lady Leste, is actually just an alter-ego of Gloria & she sings both parts. Over the past half-week, the video for "Bonekinha (Dolly)" has gained an additional 951,308 YouTube views (which is an increase of 22.20% over the chart prior).
Further down the chart, we have 5 more debuts by LGBT artists from the USA, England, and Spain:
- Rilan (from Louisiana, USA)
- Calum Scott (from England, UK)
- Bronze Avery (from Florida, USA) & Kevin McHale (from Texas, USA)
- Miss Caffeina (from Spain)
- Reyna (from Wisconsin, USA)
Chart positions are based on points assigned from a combination of YouTube views & votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBT artist & must be available on YouTube.
