Midweek Chart: 16 February 2022

Twice a week, Tad's LGBT Music Chart brings you the Top 50 music videos by LGBTQ artists from around the world.

Midweek Chart for 16th February, 2022

Chart notes:
American vocalist Katy Perry has the new #1 video on the LGBT Midweek Chart, as "When I'm Gone" moves up one more place from the weekend's #2 position. The track is a collaboration with Swedish DJ/producer Alesso. According to the song's Wikipedia page, the clip was filmed at an actively working Budweiser brewery. Over the past three days, the video for "When I'm Gone" has gained an additional 642,438 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 4.94% over the weekend's chart).

Just two videos are moving up into the Top 10 at midweek. American alt-rock group Hippo Campus climbs 9 notches to #7 with "Ride or Die". English trio The Xx also rises 9 spots (to #9) with "Say Something Loving".

Twelve songs fall off the chart to make way for twelve new songs. The highest debut at midweek was "Boodiyayay" by English musician Alex Spinney, entering the chart at #36. Alex recently told Notion Magazine that "this song is a cathartic revenge-filled anthem detailing the brutal end of a pretty rocky relationship which ended in a cruel way." Over the past half-week, the video for "Boodiyayay" has gained an additional 6,066 YouTube views (which is a massive increase of 68.15% over the previous chart period!).

Further down the chart, we have 11 more debuts by LGBTQ artists from England, the U.S.A., Spain, Turkey, Puerto Rico, Denmark, Sweden, and Austria:

If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist & they must be available on YouTube.
