Chart notes:
Australian quartet Cub Sport soars ahead to #1 on the LGBT chart at midweek with "Always Got the Love", moving up one more place from the weekend's #2 position. The track is their first single since 2020. Lead singer Tim Nelson recently told Australian radio station TripleJ during an interview that, "I've written a lot about the queer struggle and it was time to write something about queer celebration. That's the inspiration for this song. It was just the song that I felt I wanted to hear through lockdown... Something that felt uplifting." Over the past three days, the video for "Always Got the Love" has gained an additional 83,160 views on YouTube (which is a huge increase of 18.29% since the weekend's chart!).
Four videos move up into the Top 10 at midweek. Chilean singer Reinder climbs 7 notches to #5 with "Pies Rosados". British/Canadian musician Dion Yorkie rises 5 spots to #8 with "Sweet Peach". English artist Mika moves up 9 places to #9 with "Yo Yo". They're joined in the Top 10 by American band Dreamers, who jump ahead 12 positions to #10 with "Body Language".
Twelve songs fall off the chart to make way for twelve new songs. The highest debut at midweek was "Sorry Barbie" by American singer Todrick Hall, entering the chart at #34. The song's lyrics break the news to Barbie that her boyfriend Ken is gay (and furthermore, that Ken is leaving her for Todrick!). Over the past half-week, the video for "Sorry Barbie" has gained an additional 27,238 YouTube views (which is an increase of 4.70% over the previous chart period).
