Chart notes:
There's no change at the very top of the LGBT chart this weekend, as South Korean singer YooJung holds onto the #1 spot with "Begin". YooJung is the first member of Korean boy-band OnlyOneOf to release a solo project. Ever since their debut, OnlyOneOf has been a group that contributed towards queer visibility and queer representation in mainstream media through their music. YooJung's "Begin" is an extension of that purpose, released during Pride Month and dedicated to the spirit of love that transcends prejudice. Over the past four days, the video for "Begin" has gained an additional 381,515 views on YouTube (which is a massive increase of 19.71% since the midweek's chart!).

Four videos move up into the Top 10 this weekend. South African singer Nakhane climbs 9 notches to #3 with "Tell Me Your Politik". Chilean musician Jonah Xiao rises 7 spots to #8 with "Mejor Sin Ti". American singer/songwriter Daya (from Mount Lebanon, Pennsylvania) leaps ahead 14 places to reach #9 with "Love You When You're Gone". They're joined in the Top 10 by English drag queen Jodie Harsh, who's moving up 8 more positions to #10 with "Shock".

Seven songs fall off the chart to make way for seven new songs. The highest debut this weekend was "Plastic" by Russian art collective Pussy Riot and American rapper ILoveMakonnen, entering the chart at #38. The track is the first single off Pussy Riot's debut mixtape EP Matriarchy Now, which features collaborations with other LGBTQ artists such as Tove Lo, Slayyyter, Big Freedia, and Phoebe Ryan. Over the past half-week, the video for "Plastic" has gained an additional 4,238 YouTube views (which is a huge increase of 12.75% over the previous chart period!).

Further down the chart, we have 6 more debuts by LGBTQ artists from the U.S.A., Australia, and France:
  • Panic! At The Disco (from Nevada, USA)
  • Pink (from Pennsylvania, USA)
  • Saucy Santana (from Florida, USA)
  • Betty Who (from Australia)
  • Sugar Pills (from France)
  • Seth Sikes (originally from Texas, USA & now residing in New York City)

Chart positions are based on points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist and they must be available on YouTube.
