Chart notes:
There's no change at the very top of the LGBT chart at midweek, as American musician Daya holds onto the #1 spot with "Love You When You're Gone". Daya recently performed at San Diego Pride, and she'll be taking the stage as the headlining act at Charlotte's Pride Festival this weekend. "I want to do whatever I can to normalize queer relationships and queer stories and help lesser-known queer artists get more visibility in the mainstream," says Daya, who also works with GLAAD and The Trevor Project. "When I came out, I was lucky enough to have really supportive family and friends around me, and now I want to help move the needle for anyone who maybe doesn't have it as easy as I did." Over the past three days, the video for "Love You When You're Gone" has gained an additional 8,545 views on YouTube (which is a huge increase of 6.82% since the weekend's chart!).

Six videos move up into the Top 10 at midweek, three of which happen to be from American acts: Pink (from Doylestown, Pennsylvania) at #3 with "Irrelevant", Saucy Santana (from Perry, Florida) at #6 with "Booty", and Diplo (from Hendersonville, Tennessee) at #7 with "Let You Go". English vocalist Jamie Hannah leaps ahead 13 places to #8 with "Tomorrow". Russian collective Pussy Riot climbs 4 more notches to #9 with "Plastic". They're joined in the Top 10 by Swiss/Spanish singer Laskaar, who's moving up 2 more spots to #10 with "Maricón".

Seven songs fall off the chart to make way for seven new songs. The highest debut at midweek was "Un Día En Paris" by Colombian singer/songwriter Esteman, entering the chart at #38. In the video, Esteman proposes to his partner Jorge during a trip to Paris. His now-fiancé Jorge had no idea the filming was meant to capture that romantic moment. Esteman said, "I had been dreaming for several days about how I wanted to ask Jorge to marry me... Paris was not only my home for a year when I was young, it was also the city where my parents got engaged. A beautiful and perfect place to continue nurturing the commitment to Jorge and ask him to marry me." Over the past half-week, the video for "Un Día En Paris" has gained an additional 68,684 YouTube views (which is a massive increase of 16.56% over the previous chart period!).

Further down the chart, we have 6 more debuts by LGBTQ artists from the U.S.A., Hong Kong, China, Mexico, Italy, England, and South Korea:
  • Jordy (originally from Illinois, USA)
  • Jackson Wang (originally from Hong Kong & now residing in mainland China)
  • Raymix (from Mexico)
  • Måneskin (from Italy)
  • Rina Sawayama (from England, UK)
  • Ateez (from South Korea)

Chart positions are based on points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist and they must be available on YouTube.
