Chart notes:
American musician Daya (from Mount Lebanon, Pennsylvania) takes over the #1 spot on the LGBT chart this weekend with "Love You When You're Gone", moving up 2 more places from the midweek's #3 position. During a recent interview with Raydar Magazine, Daya said the track "was written in a period of time when I was experiencing overwhelming feelings of loneliness and nostalgia. I found myself romanticizing a past relationship in a way that was almost willfully forgetting the reality of why it didn't work out in the end." Over the past four days, the video for "Love You When You're Gone" has gained an additional 10,627 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 9.27% since the midweek's chart).

Two videos move up into the Top 10 this weekend. American band Panic At The Disco (from Las Vegas, Nevada) leaps ahead 13 notches to #6 with "Middle Of a Breakup". They're joined in the Top 10 by English rock quartet Pale Waves, who climb 4 more spots to #8 with "Jealousy".

Nine songs fall off the chart to make way for nine new songs. The highest debut this weekend was "Do Dat At" by American rappers Kidd Kenn and Erica Banks, entering the chart at #35. Last year Kidd Kenn (who's originally from Chicago, Illinois) made history as the first openly gay rapper to perform at The BET Hip Hop Awards. Over the past half-week, the video for "Do Dat At" has gained an additional 3,006 YouTube views (which is a huge increase of 10.30% over the previous chart period!).

Further down the chart, we have 8 more debuts by LGBTQ artists from Spain, the U.S.A., Sweden, Scotland, and Australia:
  • Tove Lo (from Sweden)
  • Agoney (from Spain)
  • Apolo (from Spain)
  • KT Tunstall (from Scotland, UK)
  • Angel Olsen (from Missouri, USA)
  • Mykki Blanco (from North Carolina, USA)
  • G Flip (from Australia)
  • Ty Herndon (from Alabama, USA)

Chart positions are based on points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist and they must be available on YouTube.
