Chart notes:
American transgender indie artist Carpetgarden (from Fresno, California) reaches the #1 spot on the LGBT chart for the very first time with "Lonely", moving up 2 more places from the weekend's #3 position. In the lyrics, Carpetgarden shares a story of a doomed romance in which both sides were pursuing things for the wrong reasons. A need for validation and pleasure amid a torrid time outside the relationship is summed up as Carpetgarden sings, "Yeah, my boy is my heaven. It can seem like hell. You can come after seven. And you know I won't tell." Over the past three days, the video for "Lonely" has gained an additional 183 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 1.85% since the weekend's chart).

Four videos move up into the Top 10 at midweek, including a return from a former #1 hit: British singer/songwriter Benedict Cork (from Hertfordshire, England) rebounds back up 8 positions to #8 with "Dream of You". British rock quartet The 1975 (from Cheshire, England) climbs 9 notches to #4 with "Oh Caroline". Chilean artist Rubio leaps ahead 10 places to #7 with "Después De Ahorgarme". They're joined in the Top 10 by Norwegian singer/songwriter Anna Of The North, who's moving up 9 more spots to #10 with "I Do You".

Seven songs fall off the chart to make way for seven new songs. The midweek chart features 7 debuts by LGBTQ artists from South Korea, England, Spain, Germany, Brazil, and Vietnam:
  • Pablo Alborán (from Spain)
  • Leopold (from Germany)
  • Urias (from Brazil)
  • KB & JunJi (both from South Korea)
  • Sakima (from England, U.K.)
  • Hannah Trigwell (from England, U.K.)
  • Trúc Nhân (from Vietnam)

Chart positions are determined by points assigned by a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist and they must be available on YouTube.
