Chart notes:
There's no change at the very top of Tad's LGBT Music Chart this weekend, as Belgian musician Pierre De Maere hangs onto the #1 spot with "Enfant De". Pierre says he never received any type of musical training and he began his musical career when he was still in primary school. Pierre explained, "Around the age of 10 I received an iPod Touch on which there was the application GarageBand... That's what allowed me to understand the codes of music. It is a tool through which you can easily make loops, editing, record your voice, etc." In the few short years that followed, he began making his own videos and publishing them on YouTube. He also taught himself to play piano. Pierre abandoned his musical career at the age of 15 to pursue an interest in photography, but eventually he decided to return to music. During the first Covid lockdown, Pierre published his first song in March 2020 on Spotify, Deezer, and other streaming platforms. He was quickly snapped up by the prestigious Parisian independent label Cinq7 which gave him his big break and has now produced an EP and his debut album Regarde-Moi. Over the past half-week, the video for "Enfant De" has gained an additional 73,118 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 1.85% since the midweek's chart).

Three videos move up into the Top 10 this weekend. American country singer Adam Mac (from Russellville, Kentucky) climbs 5 notches to #6 with "Disco Cowboy". Dutch singer/songwriter Duncan Laurence rises 9 spots to #8 with "I Want It All". They're joined in the Top 10 by Italian rock quartet Måneskin, who move up 6 more places to #10 with "Gossip".

Twelve songs fall off the chart to make way for twelve new songs. The weekend chart features 12 debuts by LGBTQ artists from the U.S.A., Argentina, Sweden, Italy, Norway, Australia, Suriname, the Netherlands, Brazil, South Korea, and Austria:
  • Marilina Bertoldi (from Argentina)
  • Fever Ray (from Sweden)
  • Italove (from Italy)
  • Seeb (from Norway)
  • Troye Sivan (from Australia)
  • Uni And The Urchins (from New York, U.S.A.)
  • Softee (originally from Minnesota & now residing in New York, U.S.A.)
  • Jeangu Macrooy (originally from Suriname & now living in the Netherlands)
  • Danny Bond (from Brazil)
  • OnlyOneOf (from South Korea)
  • Mavi Phoenix (from Austria)
  • Mila Jam (from Georgia, U.S.A.)

Chart positions are determined by points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the email address below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist and they must be available on YouTube.
